Social media monitoring company NetBase put together a full years worth of data about online conversations. They went up against a recent Harris poll in which they asked, “What is the one thing you want right now?”.
What they found was that most people are emotionally sharers, but will give you a more logical answer when ask directly.
When comparing the responses of men and women, there is more of an overlap when listening to social media than when asking them through survey questions.
